APRIL FAVOURITES

Can you believe we are already a week and a half into May, like where is this year going? before we know it Christmas will be here! Like my last blog post said I have had this blog for a year and my first ‘real’ beauty post was my April Absolutes so of course, I have to do another one for this year. I don’t have many but the few I do have are my current ride or dies!

Let’s do the beauty products first, shall we!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

This product isn’t a brand new product but it is a reformulation of a current product on the market. The newly branded Rimmel Wake Me Up Anti-Fatigue Concealer with Vitamin C is surely what it states, I first used this product half way through April the day after having 4 hours of sleep leading to dark circles and boy did this concealer cover them up making me look all cute again *hair flips* haha.

 Rimmel Brow This Way

I am forever trying new brow products to get the right brow and I am forever failing, I honestly dread to my brows because I get so discouraged BUT in saying that I thought I would go back and try this product out because I saw a video where Zoe (Zoella) just used the wax part of the duo and I loved the look of her brows. I don’t personally like the powder, I find it to red undertone even though I use the dark brown shade but I do really like the wax. I tend just to use it on the ends of my brows and then brush the wax through but it leaves the brow looking nice and natural but still with the definition I want.

Rimmel ScandalEyes Reloaded

I promise you that this is not a sponsored post by Rimmel, I didn’t even realise till now that all my beauty products are Rimmel! This Mascara has to be in the top 3 of my drugstore mascaras, the dense wand gives my lashes such a beautiful coat of mascara that makes them look so long and thick to the point where I don’t need to even try to apply falsies. I don’t recommend using on your bottom lashes though as I found the brush is too thick for the fine lashes meaning it transfers so easily. This mascara also comes in waterproof but I have yet to try the one that I have in my drawer.

With the beauty section wrapped let’s talk skincare

HHA Royal Jelly Paper

Sounds strange right? Well, this stuff is certainly not strange and has done complete wonders to my skin! I had never heard of this product until two months ago when I was introduced to it via a close family friend. This skincare product is huge over in China as it keeps the skin looking youthful and radiant and it’s hoping to make moves out into more international waters. It is a 3-1 makeup remover, cleanser and toner and it is so easy to use. Simply using one of the dissolving jelly papers, place it in your palm and add warm water till it dissolves in your palm then massage till foamy and rub into the face then rinse.

I have always struggled with under the skin breakouts and scarring but since using this I have noticed a massive difference in the texture of my skin and fading of scars that had been such a struggle to get rid of.

If you would like to try out this product you can contact me on any of my socials and I can put you in contact with someone who sells them 🙂 Also this is not sponsored in any way I just love this product!

That’s all I have to say about skincare but I have two more favourites to share with you so let’s get moving!

Showpo Sunglasses

Now I’m not going to lie and say these are my favourites sunglasses because we all know that my Quay High Keys are my ride or dies any day but I have worn these the most this month simply for the fact that I did a lot of activities and if I lost these I wouldn’t be as sad as I would be if I lost my High Keys. These sunnies though are super stylish and look like my other ones just without the reflective lenses and I find that they do sit on my face a little better due to the lens not being as big but as they say the bigger the better, am I right ladies!

Bullet Journal

I have no idea what I did with my life up until I found out about bullet journaling. It was around late Feb when I found the bullet journal community on YouTube which then led me to join a bunch of Facebook groups dedicated to it but due to buying a new car I was on a strict no spend and was living vicariously through this community with the hopes of maybe buying a bullet journal and accessories later in the year when I had built up enough money in my account where I was happy to splurge a little. All my mother would hear and see would be bullet journal videos, I would tag her in numerous photos on Instagram, I would watch calligraphy videos all in the preparation of getting a bullet journal within six months. I think I exhausted mum that much she bought me a journal and a set of pens for easter and my life has been so much more organised since she did! I was so extremely excited to start working and decorating in my journal and I can now use all the inspiration I got instead of waiting. It’s not the standard bullet journal but it is a gorgeous Kikki K journal and I am so excited to go and buy all this stationary for it later on when I get better at my calligraphy and brush writing.

That’s a wrap for this month’s favourites, let me know what you were loving in the month of April and don’t forget to follow on all my socials to keep up to date in the world of crypticbeauty
